Forsaken now, but not for long
Night is darkest just ere dawn
Been down before, but not this low
I gave up hope so long ago

But I can see the future
And the light ahead is shining
The raindrops on my windowpane
Serve to help remind me
That every stormy raincloud
Still has its silver lining
And soon the day will come
When I can put the past behind me
